Where can I find answers to my questions about this provider?

You can find all of our Frequently Asked Questions about Quickcoach Bus Lines on our Help Desk.

Do I need to tip the driver?

Bookings for bus and shuttle services do not include gratuity. 15% gratuity is standard in North America. Please do consider tipping for good service.

For private charter services, gratuity is paid at the time of booking. We choose our partners very carefully and incidents of poor service are extremely rare. However, if an incident of poor service were to occur then we will gladly issue a gratuity refund and take up the matter with our transportation partner

What if I need to change my booking?

Contact us if you need to make changes to your booking. Changes made within 72 hours of travel are subject to availability. Additional fees may apply to adding passengers, sports equipment and other services.

Can I book a one-way trip only?

Yes, if you are using our online booking system, select 'One Way' and you will not be asked for your return trip date.

Can I pay cash?

No. We only accept payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Amex). Full payment is required to secure your reservation at the time of booking.

Do I have to book in advance?

We can often find something for you within that time but our services can sell out - especially during busy periods (school breaks, holidays, game days, etc), so book early to avoid disappointment. If you are booking within 72 hours of travel always call us to check availability before you book - payment does not guarantee availability.

Is my booking guaranteed once I have made payment?

No, your booking is not guaranteed until you receive your confirmation email. This is a separate email from your payment receipt. This is because some bookings have special requests that must be manually reviewed before the booking can be confirmed.

What happens if you do not have any seats/vehicles available for the trip I have booked?

We will always strive to honour every booking made with us. On the rare occasion that we can find no availability however, this is not possible. Rest assured that if we are not able to confirm your trip then you will be refunded in full - though this may take 3 - 5 working days to be processed by the bank.

Why haven't I received my confirmation email yet?

Confirmations are typically emailed within 24 hours of your transaction. If you do not receive your confirmation email within 24 hours, please check your email spam folder. If you still need help, please contact us.

What is involved with crossing the Canada - US border in a vehicle?

The requirements for crossing the US/Canada border by land have changed dramatically in the past couple of years. If you do not have the proper documentation you will be not be allowed across the border.

Requirements for Crossing into the United States
Requirements for Canadian & Non-Canadians entering into Canada

If you have further questions regarding immigration, you will need to contact United States and/or Canadian Customs: US Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) Phone: 1-800-357-5283 US Customs Phone: 206-553-4676 Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Phone: 604-535-5450 Canada Customs and Revenue Agency Phone: 604-535-9754

Do I need to complete a Declaration Card when entering Canada?

Before entering entering Canada the driver hands out a Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Customs Declaration Card. The card must be filled out to declare everything you are bringing with you and answer questions about your stay in Canada. The Customs Declaration Card is collected by a CIC officer at the border crossing. You can bring personal goods without paying duty or tax, as long as you don't leave them in Canada and your baggage may be subject to inspection.

Do I need to complete a Declaration Card when entering the United States?

US Customs agents collect US Customs Declaration Forms from all passengers entering the United States. Your baggage may be subject to inspection. Passengers are required to carry all of their own baggage from the platform and through customs and immigration. Before entering the United States the driver will hand out a US Customs Declaration Form. You don't need to itemize things you brought with you for personal use (clothing, toiletries). However, you must declare the value of any gifts or purchases you have brought with you into the United States. Articles brought into the United States are subject to duty and internal revenue tax but as a visitor or nonresident, you are allowed certain exemptions and privileges.

How long will the border crossing take?

The shuttle uses a dedicated lane for commercial passenger vehicles so the wait is generally shorter than for individual vehicles.  Passengers are required to exit the bus to go through customs and immigration.  The maximum time that the bus will wait for passengers in Customs and Immigration is 45 minutes.  Passengers who require longer than this will be able to travel on the next available scheduled service.  If there are no later services that same day then your ticket will be moved to the next day if possible.

How much luggage can I bring?

Each passenger is allowed 1 piece of checked luggage and one carry-on.

Do I need to bring a car seat for young children?

Highway coaches are are not equipped for car seats: infants under 5 travel on their parent's lap. If you wish for your child to travel in a car seat then you will need to book a private vehicle to accommodate this.

Do your shuttles have wifi?

Onboard wifi is available on vehicles between US locations and Vancouver.

Are there washrooms onboard?

All vehicles are equipped with an onboard washroom.

What type of vehicle will I ride in?

You will travel in 47 - 56 Passenger Highway Coaches.

What if my bus is delayed and it causes me to miss my flight at SeaTac?

We highly recommend that you obtain travel insurance that will cover you if you miss your flight due to delays. We are not responsible for missed flights due to delays with your ground transfers.

Does the service pick me up directly at YVR?

The shuttle transfer for the Vancouver Airport is at the River Rock Casino.  River Rock is a quick 7 minutes away from the airport, and you can get there by taking the Canada Line Skytrain at Bridgeport Station which is direct across the road from the casino.  The bus departs from near the valet station by the main entrance.

Alternatively, you could take a taxi between the casino and the Vancouver Airport.

Can minors travel across the border unattended?

Minors crossing the border on their own (unaccompanied by an adult), will need a letter from both ends explaining their relationship to the minor, travelling dates, and giving consent.  A letter from the person putting them on the bus and a letter from the person picking them up at the other end.  They will need to show this to border security in order to clear immigration as well as any other travel documentation they personally require.  To find out more about border documentation contact USA Customs or Canadian Customs.

What happens if I am denied at the border?

If you are denied entry to either the United States or Canada you will be able to board the next available bus returning to your departure point.

Can I travel with a pet?

Service animals can travel with a letter of certification from a doctor.  Only service animals with proper documentation will be let on the vehicle.

Are the vehicles wheelchair accessible?

Yes, some of our coaches can take wheelchairs however they need to be booked in advance with a request included in the special instructions.
