FAQ

I want to hang out in Whistler before/after my event. Can I do that with the Whistler Shuttle?

Yes! There is free shuttle access from Whistler to Whistler Sliding Centre (Bobsled, Luge, & Skeleton), Creekside (Alpine Skiing), and Whistler Olympic Park (Nordic Skiing). Book your round ticket to Whistler with us, go to your event on the free shuttle, then return home with us at the end of the day!

What is the purpose of the Whistler Shuttle and when does it operate?

The Whistler Shuttle was designed to improve access from Vancouver to Whistler. The service has been designed by people in Whistler, who know the Sea to Sky Corridor and understand transportation to and from Whistler, BC. We look forward to showing you our home. The Whistler Shuttle operates from February 10, 2010 to March 1, 2010.

Does the Whistler Shuttle carry skis?

Yes. The Whistler Shuttle is designed for Olympic visitors and for skiers. We have plenty of room for your skis and if you want to rent we can help you do that also.

Do I need to make a reservation for the Whistler Shuttle?

For all northbound transfers the answer is simple: YES. For southbound transportation you can purchase "last minute" tickets at the Whistler Visitors Center located at the central Taxi Loop in Whistler Village. However, please note that "last minute" tickets are subject to availability and a reservation is the best way to ensure that you have a seat!

Where do I meet up with the shuttle?

Please see the Pick-up Locations page for full pickup details.

How long is the trip to Whistler?

The short answer is 2 hours. The longer answer is that it depends on road conditions and traffic. With that in mind most transportation providers will tell you that the trip takes 3 hours. The expectation for games time is that transportation along the Sea to Sky Corridor will be quick but we have been told by those in the know that "there are no guarantees". During our busiest days in a typical winter 3.5 hours is an extremely long trip and 2.5 hours is typical.

What vehicles do you use between Vancouver Airport and Whistler?

The Whistler Shuttle service uses 47 passenger and 56 passenger buses supplemented by a fleet of 15 passenger vans. All of our vehicles are late model and in good condition. Our vehicles and drivers are equipped and trained to drive the Sea to Sky Highway in the Winter.

What is the deal with car seats for children?

Child seats are not available in mini-buses and buses. Highway coach buses in North America do not have seat belts and there is therefore no way to secure child seats. If you want child seats we do provide that service with all our private transportation options.

What if I want to talk to a person?

What is the difference between the Whistler Shuttle and Whistler Scheduled Bus Service?

The Skylynx Bus service is primarily focused on the Vancouver International Airport (YVR) offering great service for guests traveling from YVR to Whistler. If you would like to consider the Skylynx Bus Service instead please visit: Whistler SkyLynx Airport Bus Service.

Do you pickup and drop-off at private addresses in Whistler?

We have a very centralized pickup and dropoff in Whistler, BC. We are happy to do hotel drop-off for an extra charge of $10/person. This extra charge is added during the booking process.

Who operates the Whistler Shuttle?
