We think that Whistler will be the heart of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Clearly, we are unabashed in our bias towards Whistler, but we think there are good reasons to say that Whistler is where you want to base your Olympic holiday. Whistler is a self contained walking village in the middle of the mountains. More Olympic medals will be awarded in Whistler than in Vancouver. Whistler Live! and the Cultural Olympiad will offer programming that promises to be exceptional with live bands every night. All that and you can spend a day skiing if you wish.
The big question that we inevitably get asked is, “how will I get to and from my Vancouver Olympic?” The answer is the Whistler Shuttle. With 6 departures a day from Whistler, accessing your Vancouver events is too easy. Your Whistler Shuttle ticket will get you to the Granville Street Skytrain Station which is the central transportation hub for Vancouver Olympic venue access. When you are finished meet us back at the Granville Street Skytrain Station and board the Whistler Shuttle home.
